Billy ("B.J.") Huey

B.J. grew up in San Angelo and attended Central High School where he was a standout on the track team! He went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with Cum Laude honors. B.J. then attended law school at The Texas Tech School of Law where he was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review, receiving the Judge John R. Brown award for the best-published law review article in the nation, and graduated with Cum Laude honors in 2003.

After receiving his law license, B.J. began working in the real estate section of a large law firm in Dallas, TX. During his time in Dallas, Mr. Huey garnered much of the valuable experience that his current law practice is based on today, having worked on numerous real estate and corporate projects like the W Hotel and Condominiums. He has been involved with numerous other hotels, multi-family, oil and gas, and business transactional projects all over Texas.

B.J. currently practices real estate, corporate, and oil and gas law in Lubbock as the managing partner of The Huey Law Firm. The firm serves numerous builders, developers, businesses, and private investors both locally and across the state. He also owns Mehlon Minerals, LLC, an oil and gas mineral and royalty-buying company.

B.J. and his beautiful wife, Natalie Huey, also own Signature Stag Fine Menswear with locations in both Lubbock and Midland. Natalie and B.J. are active in the Lubbock community and are supporters of Texas Tech in many areas as well as being Corporate Partners. They are blessed to have an incredible son, Jevin Huey, who attends Trinity Christian School and plays baseball, and basketball, and runs track. As a family, they enjoy traveling, attending Texas Tech events, watching movies, and spending time at home together.

** Fun Fact - B.J. still holds the San Angelo Central HS record in the 4x100 sprint relay that earned him a 5th place finish at the 5A State track meet and top 10 nationally ranked time in 1995!
